C2 would not be the experience it is for the thousands of event participants were it not for the volunteers who welcome, guide and inform them — and make their journey memorable! THE ESSENTIALS

All candidates must be:

  • Fluent in English 
  • Available and present for mandatory trainings (one or two evenings, plus the site tour)
  • Available during the event, October 17-19 2018 (morning to evening)

**Priority will be given to candidates committed to be present on the 3 days of the event (Wednesday to Friday)**

Specific availability required: Two team-training evenings (2-3 hours)

ROLE
  • Are the first people an attendee meets
  • Welcome participants
  • Assist in the set-up of certain spaces (tables and chairs)
  • Print accreditation for everyone on site
  • Provide participants with their accreditations (badges)
PROFILE
  • Ease with technology, platforms
  • Experience in customer service
  • Ability to solve problems using established protocols
  • Very quick learners

Specific availability required: A team training evening (3 hours)

ROLE
  • Respond to any request from the backstage manager
  • Respect schedules and secure closed locations
  • Assist in the set-up of certain spaces (tables and chairs)
  • Ensure conformity and cleanliness of premises and booths
  • Assist the field operations team when needed
  • Assist location managers in their tasks
  • Welcome artists and other participants on the site
  • Ensure the smooth operation of on-site activities
PROFILE

  • Significant experience in event or show production

Specific availability required: A team training evening (3 hours)

ROLE
  • Accompany location manager and partners during assembly and disassembly of their infrastructure
  • Ensure experimental spaces are welcoming
  • Care for materials
  • Support professional facilitators as needed
PROFILE
  • University undergraduate training in a discipline related to commerce or creativity
  • Sense of organisation and resourcefulness
  • Sense of initiative and proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Experience in programming and group facilitation an asset
  • Experience in customer service an asset

Specific availability required: A team training evening (3 hours)

ROLE
  • Welcome partners and VIP guests
  • Respond to all unforeseen partner needs (logistics, catering, programming, guests)
  • Contribute to the smooth running of partners’ private activities
  • Assist representatives of the partners during the course of activities and answer their questions about the site
  • Work closely with C2 Melbourne’s partnership team

ROLE

  • Coordinate press room activities
  • Assist with interview management
  • Accompany some journalists to various activities

ROLE
  • Input C2 Melbourne 2019 registrations using the designated platform
  • Participate in promotional efforts of C2 Melbourne 2019
  • Encourage participants in providing feedback on their C2 experience
  • Contribute to collecting data for future improvements using designated platform
  • Assist at welcome tours
PROFILE
  • University undergraduate training in a commerce or customer service related discipline (e.g. hotel management)
  • Consummate interpersonal skills
  • Experience in sales or customer service, preferably in an event context

Specific availability required: A team training evening (3 hours)

ROLE
  • Guide speakers and/or artists through their C2 Melbourne experience
  • Ensure the schedule is followed
  • Act as on-site resource persons
PROFILE

  • Experience in events or production an asset

  • Undergraduate university education
